I recently wrote an article about how to make an all natural deodorant, which is an important step to start ridding yourself of aluminum toxins in your body. But before applying your new homemade deodorant, you’re going to need to detox those underarms first.
Why Do I Need To Detox My Armpits?
Detoxing, in general, is a necessary step to rid yourself of harmful toxins, heavy metals, chemicals, and keep your body healthy. You can detox your body with organic foods, such as green smoothies with chlorella and spurlina powder added in, but I’ll cover that in a separate article.
When you’ve been using conventional deodorant for years, you’ve unknowingly been subjecting your body to all kinds of really toxic chemicals that build up in your system. This is especially dangerous given the location of where you apply these chemicals, because underneath the skin in your underarm area lies some very important lymph nodes.
Think of lymph nodes as tiny filters that trap all the “gunk” in your body so it doesn’t infect the rest of your immune system. If you’ve ever been sick and had a tender spot on your neck or underarm, those are your lymph nodes reacting to the infection. Because your skin is the largest organ in your body, everything it touches can be easily absorbed into our bloodstream.

When we put conventional deodorant on, we are literally rubbing chemicals onto the largest organ in our body, right on top of some major lymph nodes, which are responsible for our immune function.

How To Detox Your Armpits
Now on to the fun stuff! This is literally one of the easiest detoxes to do, and you may already have some of the ingredients at home.
Here is what you need:
Mix all of the ingredients together in a glass bowl (don’t use metal!) with a wooden or non-metal utensil. You want the consistency to be thick, like sour cream or yogurt.
Spread an even layer over each armpit and let sit for about 15-20 mins. If you have any reaction to the clay mask, wash it off immediately.
You may notice a bit of redness around the area as it’s increasing blood-flow to the area. This is harmless and will go away quickly.
Take a nice warm shower to wash it off, or use a warm cloth.
Repeat daily, or as needed, until your underarm odor goes away and the all natural deodorant no longer irritates your skin.
This should quickly progress your transition from conventional deodorant to all natural in no time. Just make sure you make your own deodorant because most “all natural” deodorants found in the stores will still contain harmful chemicals.
